With only a few short weeks remaining until the release of Disneynature’s next and most ambitious film yet, Born in China, we can’t wait to see what Disney’s impressive subsidiary will take audiences next. Since their launch in 2008, the studio has crafted one masterpiece after another pushing the limits of nature documentary storytelling. Filled with well-crafted cinematography and storytelling, Disneynature continues to expand on their already impressive line of fantastic cinematic entries.
After a brief hiatus in 2016, Disneynature is finally back with their next theatrical adventure, Born in China, which the studio promises is ‘their most ambitious film yet’, leaving us to wonder how the studio could possibly top the bar it has already set for itself. So today, we’re taking a look at five reasons why we can’t wait to see what’s in store for Disneynature’s latest film and what we hope to see from it.
Disneynature Has Yet to Disappoint:
With ten years of experience and nine films under their belt, Disneynature continues to outdo the limits of nature documentary filmmaking. What started as an ambitious project with 2008’s Earth became an almost annual tradition for Disney to look for ways of where to push their abilities further and where they can go where others haven’t. They’ve brought great cinema to areas unexplored by human habitat and continue to define creativity in ways that even they have yet to top. With Disney’s creative mindset and passion, we’re thrilled to see what they can bring to the table with Born in China.
Disneynature Continues Walt Disney’s dedication to the environment:
When Walt Disney was alive and operated the Disney company, one of his favorite smaller-budget productions were the famous True-Life Adventures series, which even went on to land Disney several Academy Awards. Walt had a special place in his heart for the environment and the importance of preserving and taking care of nature which translated into the work that he produced during those years. With films like Born in China, and others from Disneynature, it is evident that Walt’s legacy and influence is still very much felt throughout the company, and we’re thrilled that films like these are able to carry a piece of the legacy and care that Walt laid several decades earlier.
John Krasinski Joins a Long-List of Great Narrators:
Unlike Disney’s other films, Born in China doesn’t quite boast any star-power to boost its box office revenue. However, their films come along with some excellent star-power who lend their voice talent to narrate the films. Joining the ranks of some including, Meryl Streep, Tina Fey, James Earl Jones before him, The Office-star John Krasinski joins the ranks of Born in China as the film narrator. With Krasinski’s quirky comedic comedy and some great performances to go on his resume, we’re thrilled to see what Krasinski will bring to the Disneynature family.
Beautiful Cinematography and Environmental Storytelling at the Forefront:
While Disneynature’s team doesn’t script or storyboard the immense projects they undertake, the stories that they produce is nothing short of perfect. Blending gorgeous cinematography with their ability and dedication to truthfully portraying the amazing environmental landscapes, Disneynature brings creativity and ambition to bring a truly amazing experience to all of their viewers.
Luckily we won’t have to wait for long, as Disneynature’s Born in China is set for release in just a few short weeks on April 21st, 2017, one day before Earth day. We’re thrilled to see where Disney’s creative journey will take them next and hope that this innovation and dedication to the vision of Walt Disney can only continue to grow and inspire at the company.
Are you looking forward to Disneynature’s next film?
